Flea Season?
Generally, we expect fleas to emerge when the weather begins to warm. However, the whacky weather has shown us some very warm weather into December this year. That means flea season could begin early or show up in segments.
Biting Insects
It is barely January, and we’ve just now had some freezing weather. Hopefully, that kills many biting insects, including newly emerged fleas, ticks, and chiggers.
It is most likely that the weather may be cold and then unusually warm. If so, that can mean short cycling of pest issues for the Bryan and College Station community. Short cycling means that the pest may appear for short periods and then disappear, only to reappear again in a few weeks.
The Best Way to Combat Short Cycling Pest Issues
A regular pest control maintenance program is the only real way to deal with short cycling pest issues. Our monthly program addresses current pest populations and those that have not yet emerged.
Keeping the population low, we help avoid pest situations where there are so many pests that you call us for an emergency pest control service. We offer emergency pest control service calls, but they are generally more costly than regular service calls.
We work hard to keep your pest control issues out of the “emergency call” category.
