Three Pests almost Every House Has
Some pests are so common that nearly every house has them. What are they? Just keep reading
1. Pantry Pests
It does not matter how clean the kitchen or the pantry is, you most likely have one form of pantry pest or another. The deal with these little pests is that they spoil food. It’s not your fault; they are there. They come in the bags of food that you put in your pantry and then hatch. There are weevil eggs in your flour. There are cereal beetle eggs in your dry goods. You probably can’t see them as they are very tiny, but they are there. Ever wonder who put pepper in your flour? Well, it’s not pepper. Those are little, small beetles or larvae.
2. Fleas
You may treat the pets with topicals that kill fleas, but there are likely still fleas in the house. The problem is that fleas lay eggs in the ground and then emerge when the weather warms a bit. For most of us, that “ground” is our lawn area, and as we walk across the lawn or walkways, the fleas jump on our pants, and we carry them into the house. They may not live long, thanks to pet topicals that kill fleas, but they are there, and every time we go in or out, we bring in more fleas.
3. Spiders
Most of us have a long-legged cellar spider in one corner or another in our home. These are just the beginning. Most spiders are not dangerous, but there are a few that are. Those big creepy and very fast spiders you see on the floors are likely wolf spiders. Some homes may have black widows or even brown recluse. These are timid spiders, and they tend to not roam about unless disturbed.
