Love Bugs In Bryan & College Station
Apparently, April is a close second to February when it comes to love. Well, at least when we are discussing Love Bugs. Mid-April and Early May are prime times for the emergence of Love Bugs around the Bryan and College Station area. If the spring weather is warmer early or if winter recedes a bit early, then the Love Bugs may emerge as early as the first part of April.
The problem with Love Bugs is that they can emerge by the thousands and on a bad year by the tens of thousands. They are everywhere, and their hap hazardous flight means that they end up to food, drink, and on us. Love Bugs are most noticeable when you are in motion.
The second problem with Love Bugs is that they are acidic. You walk on them in the house their little squished body can discolor flooring and stain carpet by removing the color. It is not exactly bleaching, but literally the eating away of the dye. They can do the same thing on the paint on automobiles, especially if they remain there for a period of time.
Love Bugs
For the most part, there are harmless. They do not have stingers and they do not bite. Still, they are not pleasant to live with and you don’t really want them in your home. There is not much that you can do to prevent Love Bugs from emerging, though there is some work with hormones that keep the bugs from emerging.
